I can’t think of a good title, so I won’t. Nothing worth posting about is happening today. I’m going to acting class later, and that is about it. We are having macaroni and cheese (HOMEMADE) for dinner. We saw the Muppets Movie on Saturday. I was NOT excited to go back to school today, but I had to.

Ladies Dessert Night

Hi, everyone!

Tonight at our church, all women and girls are invited to come have dessert and listen to our new pastor’s wife speak about her life and her transition from England to America. I am very excited to hear her talk. Also, I’m jumping up and down for joy about the dessert!

Living Hope International

On Saturday evening, my family and many others went to our church for dinner. After we were finished, we went upstairs to the sanctuary and watched a beautiful performance done by the Chinese orphans at Living Hope International. Some kids told us about how they got to the orphanage. It was a touching experience.

Out in the Narthex of our church, some people who worked with the orphans were selling beautiful Chinese items. I bought a purple glasses case with butterflies. I hope that everyone reading this will be touched and will sponsor a child.

Time to Clean the House!

Oh the horrors! These five scary words, “time to clean the house,” are a quote straight from my mom’s mouth. I am picturing in my head that later today I will be on my hands and knees, scrubbing the kitchen floor. Oh great! I really should stop thinking these terrible thoughts. Sweeping, scrubbing, mopping. UGH! Goodbye, regular clothes, hello apron!

Camp Sankanac

My sister Molly and I went to Camp Sankanac together 2 weeks ago. Camp Sankanac is a Christian sleepover camp that you stay at for a week. It’s a lot of fun. I’ll show you the schedule.

Wake up at 7:30

Get dressed and ready for 15 minutes

Go to flag raising(flag raising is when they raise the flag on the flagpole and the campers say the pledge of alliegance)

Go to breakfast

Go back to your cabin and clean it

Go to your first selected activity

Go to Bible

Go to Missions(where missionaries talk to you)

Go to your 2nd activity

Go to your last activity

Go to lunch

Have rest hour

Have free time

Have Camper-Counselor time

Go to dinner

Do evening activity

Go to flag lowering

Get ready for bed

Go to bed

And so ends a long day at Camp Sankanac-and this blog entry.

Sea and Sand

My family’s beach vacation was awesome! At first I was scared to go in the ocean, and I didn’t go into it for the whole first day! Then my aunt persuaded me to go in with her and it was great! I went in on all the other days. On the last day, we thought it was too rough to go out in, and it was! In the morning, the waves were 10-12 feet high! I went out with my dad when the tide was going out, but the waves were still 8 feet high! What whoppers! I got wiped out once. It was really scary.

As this is a family tradition, we went to Funland, an amusement park. I went on the haunted house(scary!), the paratrooper, the gravitron, which spins you around really really fast,(our family calls it the vomit comet), the viking ship, the bumper cars, the spinny cars, the teacups, and more. The beach was a blast! I’m looking forward to going again next year.

Dreary Dismal Days

Rain, rain, go away, don’t come again another day. Or any day after this, for that matter. We couldn’t go to the pool because of it, but I don’t mind because I would rather stay home anyway. Plus, I didn’t have to scoop the dog doo because of it.

Here is the rest of the poem that I posted in the last post.

I’ll bet my parents are filled with sorrow

They called and said they’d be back tomorrow.

My family came back on the 5th of May.

I had tons and tons and tons to say.

If ever again they leave me behind

I will give them a piece of my mind.

(My parents think I’ve a great imagination,

But next time they’ll take me on their vacation.)

I’m 9 and have short brown hair and blue eyes. I am four feet three inches. And I have computer time, which is almost up, so, toodles!

New Neighbors

My family moved recently, and if you ask me,the hardest part has been meeting new people. It’s always been sorta hard for me to do that, as I’m rather shy. But we’ve met two or three families over the course of time, which is rather surprising to me. But we were the people who walked over and met one of the families. My Dad met the other family in the middle of the street. As long as we know some people, though, I’m not complaining.

I know that this is seriously off topic, but I just wanted to give you a little something to laugh at. This is the poem I wrote this year in third grade.

Disneyland, NOT!

Because I was bad, no vacation I had.

To Disneyland they went, without my consent.

What had just happened was the worst thing ever.

They probably said, “We left her. Whatever.”

Skipping over to my babysitter’s house,

I took my suitcase and Rattail my mouse.

When I got to her steps she opened the door

I climbed way up high and tripped on the floor.

I told her my story, she saw my sad face.

And then she said, “What a disgrace!”

She fed me and washed me and put me to bed.

“You can stay with my parents for now” she said.

I’ll write the rest tomorrow. I have to go.

I Know, I Get The Message

The girl who is writing hates the computer. There. I said it. Idon’t know what it is, but ever since I could spell, I’ve detested this small piece of machinery and totally avoided it (except to play on webkinzworld. My account is dead, not that I care.) But now that I have an e-pal, Laura, I have a reason to go on the computer. And after e-mailing her, well, what else is there to do besides post on my blog? Iwill tell you some updated facts about myself in the upcoming entry. Now for a few final words. Everyone who has never quit checking my blog, thank you for being loyal. Now I have to go.

The Hermit Crabs

First of all, to all my readers I am sorry that I have not posted an entry in so long.

On August 16, Molly, Susanna and I bought hermit crabs. It’s a big shopping expedition when you get those pets. You have to buy sand, food, dishes, the crabs, the water conditioners, the aquarium, and stuff like that.

After a couple of days though, my hermit crab died. I was very sad. We buried her. But then I got a new hermit crab. Her name is Mary Beth the 2nd. She likes to dig. (Below is a video of her changing shells).
